On The Road.

There is a thrill in the middle of lost and found. There is a sense of adventure that I can't really describe about seeing miles pass and creation flow by. Whether you're in a car or on a bike. It's those days of travel to a destination known yet unknown.

I walked up to a counter in the Star Bucks in Portage, Indiana and asked what state I was in. I'm sitting squeezed in the middle of Illinois and Michigan making my way south west toward Troy IL today. Right now this is my Jam. Give it a listen and enjoy the thought of my belting it out in a car on a road in the middle of nowhere Midwest... It's happening, right now!

Call me weird but I love to travel, whatever form it might be in. I love seeing all the people. Feeling small in a world that is so big. Over the last 3 days I have seen and met with some very impacting people. I'm really thankful and awestruck to try and think about how each of these people have impacted my life in someway and think about how each impact has caused a ripple effect. All of striving to be like Jesus. Simply wanting that as a goal.

It inspires and encourages me tremendously, even though every day we come up short, striving and thriving is a beautiful thing.

From PA to Ohio I got to visit with a dear friend who I haven't seen since college. I spent quality time with a dear friend and her little one who cooed and gave me the best smiles. I got to see this incredible woman. Each visit is lovely because we both converse and speak as though it may be our final visit. The best is when the visits happen again. Though she is much shorter than I remember, she is still the Grandma Jean that I have ever spoken to. And she is my only grandparent  pursuing life down here continually to try and help people whenever and where ever she can. She comes with me where ever I go.

From Ohio I drove to the tip of Indiana and Michigan to meet up with this lovely woman below who I have known to never turn down a random meeting spot in a random state, in a random town 3 hours from her home to hang out and chat over a beer. From late night hikes with headlamps and adrenaline to meeting really interesting people in the middle of nowhere, I am always so thankful to have some quality Jamie time.

Headed North to spend some time with Philip the Michigander who took me to see another view of Lake Michigan. I have only seen Lake Michigan (the only Great Lake I've ever seen) from the Chicago side. Though it was too cold to dip my toes in this time and there was uneasy feelings about slipping off massive chunks of ice into very deep frigid, stunning blue water, we were still able to take in the silence of Winter and talk about the impact of seasons and the perspective they give.

Now, it's onto Troy, IL to continue the trend of seeing faces in front of mine after multiple other seasons of life have passed.

Thanks for the prayers and good vibes my friends! God willing I will arrive in Laramie Wyoming on Sunday January, 25th.

Keep 'em coming!

Most importantly:

Keep Adventuring.
