First time riding with these folks in 2012:
A Humbling, strengthening season that I wouldn't trade for anything in the world especially with these individuals...Every-single-one of them.
This past summer riding down the coast of California with these crazies:
Literally one of the most joyful rides I've ever had mixed with reunions, exposure to new life and continual stretching.
As the most recent Cross Country team for Venture Expeditions enters into the Dakotas these next couple of days I am so thankful to be apart of the continual growing family and body that is Christ Jesus in knowing that He has created us alike in feeling the pull to sacrifice our time and tents to bring hope and healing to many who though we may never meet, God is working through our legs, feet, hearts, mouths and minds to reach those who are lost and in need.
It hasn't ended either. The pursuit that God has placed in my life has continually transformed. I find myself challenged in between blessings and hard places. It is where God continually leads me and through it I have been leaning more on him to direct my steps and words to fight, defend and pursue the continual colinization of bringing Heaven to this broken world.
"When our enemies heard that we were aware of their plot and that God had frustrated it, we all returned to the wall, each to our own work.
From that day on, half of my men did work, while the other half were equipped with spears, shields, bows and armor. The officers posted themselves behind all the people of Judah who were building the wall. Those who carried materials did their work with one hand and held a weapon in the other, and each of the builders wore his sword at his side as he worked. But the man who sounded the trumpet stayed with me.
The I said to the nobles, the officials and the rest of the people, "The work is extensive and spread out, and we are widely separated from each other along the wall. Wherever you hear the sound of the trumpet, join us there. Our God will fight for us!"- Nehemiah 4:15-20
For the last couple of weeks I have been studying Nehemiah with a group of women from my church and shoot dang has it been enriching. There as been a lot of perspective gained along with relation of Gods faithfulness in what He puts within us to pursue and glorify Him. You should probably read it. I am continually thankful for the opportunity to yell my battle cry and stand firm in His truths. I am proud to fight for the heart of my King. Finding those who are lost, dusting the rubble and filth off them and clothing them in light through his creation, his majesty...His promises.
Thank you Jesus!
